Registration Centres
CARL-ID Registration Centres are located in every district of the NDRC. You must attend a centre in person for all registration types that require biometric enrollment.

Your nearest Registration Centre is listed in your CARL-ID profile under "Local Services". If you do not yet have a CARL-ID, attend any centre — you are not restricted by district for initial registration.

Booking an appointment
Walk-in service is available at all centres, but wait times can be significant during peak periods (month-end, after state holidays). To book an appointment:
- Call 0117 463 8742, ext. 110
- Select your district and preferred date/time
- Receive confirmation via SMS to your registered phone number
What to expect
Average registration appointment duration:
- Newborn registration: 30 minutes
- Young adult registration: 45 minutes (includes orientation)
- Foreign national registration: 60-90 minutes (includes security interview)
- Returning citizen registration: 45-60 minutes
- ID card replacement: 20 minutes
Accessibility
All Registration Centres are accessible to persons with mobility requirements. Hearing loop systems and translation services are available by advance request. Call ahead to arrange accessibility accommodations.
