Energy Allocation and PowerFlow
Energy in the NDRC is a managed resource allocated to citizens based on household needs and CDI score. The GridControl system manages national distribution, and the PowerFlow dashboard gives you visibility into your consumption.
How energy allocation works
Each household receives a monthly energy allocation measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Your allocation is determined by:
- Housing tier and property size
- Number of registered household members
- Season (winter allocation is higher, October-March)
- CDI score bonus (citizens with CDI 800+ receive 15% additional allocation)
- Employment status (home workers receive a work-from-home supplement)
Using the PowerFlow Dashboard
Access your PowerFlow dashboard through the View Energy Allocation service. The dashboard shows:
- Real-time power consumption (updated every 15 minutes via smart meter)
- Monthly allocation vs consumption graph
- Projected end-of-month usage based on current patterns
- Consumption comparison with similar households in your district
- Efficiency rating (A to F scale)
Exceeding your allocation
If you exceed your monthly allocation, excess energy is charged at 3x the standard rate, automatically deducted from your state account. If you exceed your allocation for 3 or more consecutive months:
- Month 3: Written warning and energy audit notification
- Month 4: Mandatory energy audit conducted by district energy officer
- Month 5: Allocation may be reduced or energy-saving measures mandated
- Month 6+: CDI score penalty of 10 points per month of continued excess
Conservation rewards
Citizens who consistently use less than 80% of their allocation are eligible for the Energy Conservation Medal and receive CDI score bonuses of up to 15 points per quarter. Your conservation status is displayed on the PowerFlow dashboard.
