Completing Mandatory Training
All citizens have mandatory training requirements that must be completed on schedule. Failure to complete mandatory training results in CDI score penalties and potential service restrictions.
Your training obligations
The following training modules are mandatory for all employed citizens:
| Module | Frequency | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Chargeability Compliance | Annual | 4 hours |
| Security Awareness | Annual | 3 hours |
| CLF Threat Recognition | Annual + after threat changes | 2 hours |
| Emergency Response | Every 2 years | 2 hours |
| Health & Safety | Annual | 1.5 hours |
| Civic Duty | Recommended annual | 1 hour |
How to complete training
- Navigate to the Training section of the portal
- Select the module you need to complete
- Read all content and complete interactive exercises where required
- Pass the end-of-module assessment (minimum scores vary by module)
- Your completion is automatically recorded against your CARL-ID
Assessment retakes
If you fail an assessment, you may retake it once within 7 days. A second failure triggers mandatory in-person training with your district compliance officer at additional cost to your chargeability rate.
Chargeability impact
Mandatory training time is recorded under specific WBS codes with varying chargeability rates. To minimise impact, the Ministry of Labor recommends completing training during the first or last hour of your working day. Consult your team lead before scheduling training during peak delivery periods.
Checking your status
Your training completion status is visible on each module page when logged in. Upcoming deadlines are also sent as notifications to your CARL-ID inbox 30 days, 14 days, and 3 days before expiry.
